The philosophical traditions of Poland and Ukraine: urgent problems of research

On October 19/2013 during the 4th International Forum "The Space of Humanitarian Communication" international round-table discussion „The philosophical traditions of Poland and Ukraine: urgent problems of research" will take place.

The 4th International Forum will include the following topics:

  •  The tradition of religion philosophy in Poland;
  • The philosophy of polish Messianizm and its analogue in the common traditions of philosophy;
  • "Sarmatism" as a philosophical and ideological manual; as a political myth. The Polish and Ukrainian versions of interpretation;
  • Social and political philosophy of Poland – through history to nowadays;
  • The analytical tradition in a polish philosophy. Schools of Lviv and Warsaw;
  • The tradition of realistic phenomenology in Poland.

The Conference is organized by The National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, The Polish Institute in Kyiv, The Center of Humanitarian Education NAS in Ukraine, The Superior Institute of Religious Science of St. Thomas Aquinas and The Association of Polish Journalists in Ukraine.

The aim of the round-table discussion is to share the experience, theoretical and practical achievements in the subject of investigations in Polish and Ukrainian philosophical traditions.
The representatives of the following organizations will take part in the work of a round-table discussion:

 The National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, The Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, The Jagiellonian University, John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, The Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakov, The University of Warsaw etc.

We involve everyone who is interested in the philosophical traditions of Poland and Ukraine; in the process of researching the subjects of moral and spiritual direction in general educational institutions of Ukraine and also those who carry out the training of teachers in these subjects.
